Waiting with Hope – God’s Perfect Timing

For many Christian singles, the waiting season can feel long and uncertain. Yet the Bible assures us that God is deeply involved in every detail of our lives — including our relationships.

“But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” – Isaiah 40:31

Waiting is not wasted time. It is a season where God prepares our hearts, builds our character, and draws us closer to Him. Think of Abraham and Sarah, who waited decades for God’s promise to be fulfilled (Genesis 21:1–2). Or Hannah, who poured her heart out before the Lord in faith (1 Samuel 1:10–11). Their stories remind us that God never forgets His children.

“Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” – Psalm 37:4

Rather than focusing only on what we don’t yet have, we can embrace the joy of what God is doing now. This season is a time to strengthen our faith, invest in our calling, and serve others. Paul reminds us, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” (Philippians 4:6).
